Finally Upgraded My Gear (And Didn't Burn Anything!)
A new lens on breakfast, and a softer look at health this week
It’s hard to believe we’re already at the 4th issue of The Brekkie Club’s Newsletter! And it still feels like we’re just getting started.
What began as a quiet experiment, sharing what’s been cooking in my kitchen and unfolding in my thoughts, has gently grown into a rhythm I cherish. A ritual of sorts. A weekly moment to pause, gather, and connect.
Each issue has been a slice of my life, the flops, the wins, the little joys, and lessons, all folded into a note I send your way with hope and heart.
And you? You’ve read, encouraged, and simply shown up! That part never gets old. It means more than you know.
This newsletter has become a small but grounding part of my week, and I’m so grateful it’s found a place in yours too.
Now, shall we see what’s been simmering?
A Small (but Mighty) Upgrade
This issue carries a bit of a glow.
Not just because I finally used up my avocados before they turned into a mushy regret (you know the feeling), but because something exciting happened behind the scenes, I got myself a new camera! Yay!
It was secretly sitting on my wishlist for a while, something that could truly capture the soft green glow of a ripe avocado, the golden toast it rests on, or the sunlight that kisses a breakfast bowl at just the right angle. Now that it’s here, it feels like a quiet, satisfying “you’re doing it” moment.

That said, I’m still finding my way around it. The buttons, the focus, the lighting, we’re becoming friends slowly. So if you spot a wobbly frame or an over-zoomed banana bread slice, just know I’m learning as I go.
But that’s not all. I also took the plunge into a whole new editing software. Chaotic timelines, questionable cuts, a few minor meltdowns, and then, something shifted. The flow is cleaner, the colors deeper, the stories clearer. And the food? Somehow even more inviting on screen.
The kitchen has always been where I feel most like myself. Now, the screen feels like a natural extension of that, a space to share the beauty in breakfast, frame by frame.
A Side of Health, Please
No major challenges this week. Just a shift. A soft one.
I’ve started to look at home-cooked meals differently. Less like a “healthy choice” and more like a return to something comforting. Grounding. Real.
There’s something honest about chopping your own vegetables, seasoning something with your hands, and standing by the stove while the aroma builds. It’s not just what I eat, it’s how I’m eating and how I’m feeding my loved ones. No quick fixes, no fancy flairs. Just food, made at home, with a little care.
This week, health looked like warm lentil soups. Like omelletes with sautéed spinach. Like toast with things I could pronounce.
And surprisingly, it felt really, really good.
Breakfast Binge Alert: Last Week on TBC
With the camera and editing upgrade, you’ll probably notice a little glow-up on the YouTube channel. If you haven’t peeked at this week’s videos yet, I’d love for you to swing by and see what’s new and maybe even give me some suggestions!
High-Protein Spiced Chickpea & Egg Skillet (A hearty, one-pan breakfast packed with protein, bold spices, and minimal cleanup)
Strawberry Ricotta Toast with Honey & Basil (A vibrant breakfast toast layered with creamy ricotta, fresh strawberries, and a drizzle of honey)
Gordon Ramsay's Creamy Scrambled Eggs (Ultra-creamy, soft scrambled eggs just the way Chef Ramsay makes them, and yes, they’re worth the hype)
Before You Go…
