New Loaf, New Habit & A New Video Format

My best bread yet and a new way to film mornings

After weeks of trial and error, burnt bottoms and pale tops, I finally pulled it off, my first successful loaf of whole wheat bread.

Golden, risen, and with a crust that sang when tapped. It felt like a quiet kitchen win, the kind that lingers longer than you’d expect.

I sliced it warm, slathered some butter, and stood by the counter smiling. Sometimes, persistence pays in crumbs.

New Ritual, Old Roots

It started as a remedy, a spiced black brew with dry ginger and jaggery, something warm to soothe a cold and sore throat. But somewhere between those first few sips and the habit that followed, it turned into something more.

Now, even on days I feel perfectly fine, I find myself reaching for it.

No milk, no frills. Just a deep, earthy cup that feels like both medicine and memory. It doesn’t just wake me up, it slows me down, grounds me. A quiet ritual before the day begins.

Funny how some of the best habits come disguised as temporary fixes.

A New Chapter on YouTube

This week, I kicked off something new on the channel, a slightly different format that still centers around recipes, but unfolds more like a vlog.

It’s a blend of breakfast-making and morning moments, with a little more room for pauses, process, and the in-between. New recipes, just shared in a way that feels more personal, less step-by-step, more story.

If you enjoy food content that feels like a slow morning chat over coffee, I’d love for you to check it out. I’ll upload the first one today! Feel free to leave comments on what you think about them.

A Side of Health, Please

Some habits begin with intention. Others just quietly become part of you.

For me, that’s been starting each morning with a glass of warm water—before coffee, before breakfast, before anything else. What began a year ago as a simple wellness tip for digestion is now a quiet ritual I don’t skip.

It’s a small act, but one that sets the tone. A gentle wake-up for the body. A signal that care starts early.

And this week, that early care extended into my cup, too.

I’ve found myself reaching less for milk-heavy chai or coffee, and more for a spiced black brew, warm, earthy, and grounding. It started as a remedy for sore throats and rainy mornings. But now, it’s become a bit of a love story. Something about that dry ginger heat and the way it cuts through grogginess, it just feels right.

Health this week wasn’t about dramatic changes or big rules. It was about returning to what feels good. And letting small things add up.

Before You Go…

Thanks for sharing a little bit of your morning with me. Whether it’s a recipe you try, a tip you tuck away, or just the feeling of knowing someone else is figuring it out in their kitchen too, I’m glad you're here.

As always, you’ll find me on Instagram and YouTube, stirring something up or waiting for the toast to brown just right.
