This Week Was Messy. I Wrote Through It Anyway.
No rush. No hustle. Just an honest note from me to you.
This past week? Slower. Softer. Slightly scrambled.
I didn’t get around to planning all the recipes I had in mind. Or uploading on schedule. YouTube was quiet, save for one full recipe and a reel. And honestly? I didn’t hate it.
Instead, I found myself caught up in other things, writing, learning, and juggling a few new directions that needed my energy. Sometimes that’s how it goes. The stove cools down a little while the rest of life heats up.
It wasn’t the week I had mapped out in my head. But it was still movement. Still growth. And sometimes, showing up less can actually make space for more.
A Side of Health, Please
Confession: I haven’t been walking. Or stretching. Or moving my body as much as I should be.
In the whirlwind of figuring things out and ticking off new to-dos, exercise slipped quietly off the radar. And now I’m feeling it, the sluggish mornings, the slightly off rhythm, the ache that’s not soreness but stagnation.

Next week, I’m making room. Not for punishment or pressure, just small steps. Walks. Reconnection. A gentle reset. Because movement, like breakfast, is something I always return to. It anchors me.
Still Showing Up
Even though the kitchen was quieter and the uploads fewer, this newsletter? It didn’t take a break.
Because even when the week slows down, I still feel the pull to show up here. To write to you.
Maybe it’s habit now, or maybe it’s something more—like knowing that even in quieter moments, there’s value in connection. A little note, a familiar voice, a reminder that some rituals are worth keeping, no matter the pace.
Breakfast Binge Alert: Last Week on TBC (Well, Sort Of)
The uploads were minimal, but I still managed to sneak in two, both comfort food, both made for quiet days.
Eggs, Every Which Way (Creamy scrambled, jammy boiled, shakshuka, and more, a quick reel showcasing all the ways I love my eggs these days.)
Crispy Hashbrown Omelette (Golden hashbrowns meet fluffy eggs in this all-in-one breakfast that’s crispy, hearty, and satisfying.)
Before You Go…
Thanks for sticking with me, especially through the slower weeks. This space isn’t always about peak productivity or perfect routines. It’s about real mornings. Messy ones. Deliciously unplanned ones too.
If this note resonated, if you’ve had a slow week too, or needed the reminder that it’s okay to press pause, I’d love to hear from you. Hit reply or come hang out on Instagram or YouTube. Even when I’m posting less, I’m always around.
Here’s to week 2 of June, we may not have it all figured out, but we’ve absolutely got this.
