We Baked, We Celebrated, We Brunched
Come for the croissant, stay for the cake, here’s your weekly breakfast story
This week felt like a return to rhythm.
After a few slower weeks and flopped bakes, I finally found myself in the flow again. The kitchen was alive with ideas, with activity, and with the warm scent of something always in the oven. I spent most of my days testing, tweaking, and yes, tasting.
Recipes came together with more ease, the lighting played nicely, and the smell of coffee and cardamom hung around like familiar friends.
It reminded me why I started this in the first place: not just to share food, but to find a kind of quiet joy in the doing.
A Slice of Celebration (and Cake)
It was my birthday week, and while the candles were lit, it was baking that truly took center stage.
I found myself reaching for the whisk often, not out of duty or content plans, but because I truly wanted to. The oven stayed warm all week, and the quiet rhythm of creaming butter, folding batter, and peeking through the glass door became my version of slowing down and celebrating.
It reminded me that baking doesn’t always need to serve a purpose. Sometimes, the process is the reward.
A Side of Health, Please
This week, fruits quietly took the spotlight, and not just one or two.
There were ripe bananas, always reliable. Sweet mangoes that made their way into toasts and smoothies. A bowl of dragon fruit and watermelon, vibrant and refreshing on humid days. Tart grapefruit halves for slow breakfasts. And the tiniest handfuls of blueberries to top it all off.

Tossed, layered, blended, or eaten straight off the board, each one added a bright, nourishing note to the mornings.
It reminded me that health isn’t always a big declaration. Sometimes it’s just in the simple act of reaching for what’s fresh, colourful, and real.
Breakfast Binge Alert: Last Week on TBC
It was a flavour-packed week on the channel:
Hummus Egg Croissant (Flaky, buttery croissant meets creamy hummus and a jammy egg. Breakfast really levelled up)
Coffee-Infused Banana Bread (Moist, aromatic, and just the right amount of sweet. Your two favourite breakfasts in one loaf)
No-Oil, 4-Ingredient Avocado Mayo (Creamy, healthy, and ridiculously easy. A fridge staple you didn’t know you needed)
Before You Go…
Thanks for making it to the bottom of this week’s newsletter.
Whether you try a recipe, share a post, or just read along quietly, I appreciate you being part of this space.
If something made you smile, feel free to hit reply or come say hi on Instagram or YouTube. I’m always around, probably peeling mangoes or hovering over a cooling rack.
Until next time. 🍞
